HUMBER ZERO TEAM EMBRACE FIRST OPPORTUNITY TO PRESENT £1.2B PLANS AT THE WATERLINE SUMMIT

The team behind a £1.2 billion decarbonisation project designed to clean up the South Bank’s refining cluster are looking forward to the first face-to-face opportunity to present the work.

Humber Zero is led by Phillips 66 and VPI Immingham, the neighbouring refinery and heat and power plant.

The major infrastructure project aims to use carbon capture and storage technology to eliminate emissions from the heavy industry, linking up with the wider V Net Zero transportation project. It will then pipe the CO2 to depleted gas caverns in the near North Sea. Carbon trading and shipping hub proposals for Port of Immingham also feature.
