With the ambition of becoming a leading UK sports organisation in their actions and advocacy around sustainability, Team GB have been working with the University of Hull’s Energy and Environment Institute (EEI) and consultancy Perform Green to understand their Carbon Footprint and formulate a strategy to reduce this. University of Hull are the Official University Partner of Team GB and our partnership is born out of a synergy between our ambitions and values. Together we deliver strategic projects across key areas such as talent development, performance, innovation, and sustainability.
The British Olympic Association (BOA), the National Olympic Committee (NOC) behind Team GB, selects the best athletes to compete in the 32 summer and seven winter Olympic sports at the greatest sporting competition in the world. The Energy and Environment Institute at the University comprises 180 researchers who conduct world-leading interdisciplinary research, innovation and knowledge exchange at the interfaces between sustainable energy, environmental resilience and the challenges of transitioning to a carbon Net Zero future. Perform Green is a values-led consultancy with a mission to create a green and smart society, helping organisations of all sizes to innovate, reduce impact on the environment, and improve productivity and customer service.
